Description

Students will learn about the fundamentals of biomanufacturing and make connection between biologics and sports!  This activity is designed as an introduction into biotechnology careers as well as information about the potential educational pathways into those careers.

This activity was created through a Project Award Agreement from the National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals (NIIMBL) and financial assistance award 70NANB21H086 from the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Objectives
  • Learn about biotechnology and biomanufacturing.
  • Explore career options in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Understand current good manufacturing processes (CGMP) and why they are required.
  • Become introduced to the 5 P's of CGMP.
