Determining Glassware Accuracy

Overview
What is the difference between graduated cylinders, beakers, and Erlenmeyer flasks? In this interactive activity, you will practice measuring volumes in order to determine the percent error and standard deviation for each piece of lab glassware. Then you will use the results to determine which vessel is the most accurate.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this exercise, you will be able to:
- Describe the steps required to test glassware
- Use formulas to calculate glassware accuracy
- Perform the steps required to test a piece of glassware
- Examine results to determine which glassware vessel is the most accurate
