Overview
Most bacteria can be separated into two groups based on cell wall composition using a differential staining technique called Gram Stain. The results of this process stain gram-positive bacteria purple and gram-negative bacteria red for further analysis. You will complete a simple gram stain procedure in this activity and study the results.
