North Carolina Science Festival
The North Carolina Science Festival is a multi-day celebration showcasing science and technology. The Festival will highlight the educational, cultural and financial impact of science in our state. Through hands-on activities, science talks, lab tours, nature experiences, exhibits and performances, the Festival will engage a wide range of public audiences while inspiring the next generation of scientists. Everyone's invited! Events are being designed to appeal to diverse audiences - from preschoolers to seniors and from "science-phobes" to science lovers. The North Carolina Science Festival will have something for just about everyone. The North Carolina Science Festival is being held in advance of the USA Science & Engineering Festival, which will take place in October in Washington, D.C.
North Carolina Science Festival events will take place in a variety of venues across the state -science museums, businesses, college and university campuses, parks, restaurants, theaters and more. Some events will be inside, while others will take place in nature. Since science is all around us, events can really take place anywhere!
The North Carolina Science Festival will take place from Sept. 11-26, 2010. There will be numerous events each day spread across the state.
Morehead Planetarium and Science Center is currently seeking program partners, host venues and Festival sponsors. Sponsorships ranging from $2,500 to $25,000 are available.
