Basic Laboratory Safety

This course introduces students to basic hygiene and general laboratory safety, particularly with physical hazards encountered in industrial settings. Topics include housekeeping, fire prevention, electrical safety, proactive and reactive safety equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) used in the industry. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of general safety awareness and behavior in a laboratory setting.
