Biography

Phil has worked for the BioNetwork since 2007. In his current role for the NCCCS, he supports the Economic and Workforce Development division on anything related to biotechnology, pharmaceutical and life science. Phil's areas of expertise includes recruitment of new and expanding companies; promotion of the state's customized job training and other workforce-related services. Before his move to the community college system, he was the Life Science Recruiter for the North Carolina Department of Commerce and prior to this he provided market research and business planning for several small life science businesses.

Education

B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine, a Master's degree in Structural Engineering from NC State University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC- Chapel Hill.
