Biography

Matt Meyer, a seasoned economic developer, led BioNetwork for 3 years, taking the statewide initiative through successful strategic planning changes. Previous to this, Matt held the position as Dean of the Community College Workforce Alliance in Virginia. Before his move to Virginia, Matt moved quickly through the ranks at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in Western North Carolina, where he started as an instructor of Mechanical Engineering Technology. Within a year he became Chairperson of the department, moving on to Dean of Business & Industry Services, then subsequently became the Dean of Corporate and Economic Development.

Education

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton, Ohio and a Master’s degree in BioEngineering, from Clemson, South Carolina. Matt is completing his Ed.D in Community College Leadership from Old Dominion University.
