Rowan-Cabarrus Community College presents “Biotechnology & Sustainability Summer Series” The series, sponsored by the RCCC Department of Science, Biotechnology, and Mathematics is free and open to the public. Join RCCC on the NC Research Campus to gain a better understanding of the diverse and exciting field of sustainable agriculture and biotechnology.
Ed Hunt and Leslie Lowry from the BioNetwork BioAg Center will speak on sustainable agriculture projects in NC. The NC Community College System’sBioNetwork is charged with bringing together innovative resources, providing cutting edge training and meeting the life science industry needs to build a workforce. The BioNetwork BioAg Center provides support across the state to strengthen NC’s #1 industry – Agriculture. Sustainable agriculture projects in NC will be highlighted. You will learn how pollination by the Honey Bee benefits agriculture in NC from the BioAg’s beekeeper.
