Validation Academy
Welcome to the one-of-a kind Validation Academy, the only one worldwide! Available only in North Carolina, the Academy provides training and education for Pharma/Biopharmaceutical employees in the philosophies and skills of Validation. The Validation Academy offers local and affordable short-course modules incorporating lectures, laboratory exercises, and hands-on training. The broad range of course offerings provide applicable material for various levels, from individuals who want to enter the biopharmaceutical industry, to those who want to become experts in the field of validation.
Although statewide in scope, the Validation Academy is based in the Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center (BTEC) located on Centennial Campus at North Carolina State University. This technology savvy building is equipped with an aseptic filling line, up to 300 L size bio-reactors, CIP/SIP, purified water and clean steam generating systems, all provided by the Golden Leaf Foundation.
Courses offered by the Validation Academy are developed internally through partnerships between the Academy and high-quality vendors who specialize in cutting-edge training and new-and-emerging validation technologies.
Course fees are a fraction of the cost, compared to other well-known training organizations. Validation Academy courses are offered primarily at the Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center (BTEC) located at the NC State University Centennial Campus, or at any of the community colleges within the North Carolina Community College System.
Validation Academy Instructors are recognized subject matter experts in their fields with significant industry related experiences who incorporate hands-on training under cGMP conditions into their courses.
As a regulatory requirement, Validation is a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility's written proof and assurance that a process or system will consistently produce safe and effective products. High quality validation processes contribute significantly to operating efficiency and product quality within all types of Biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. High quality validation processes start with the proper training of employees.

With certain approved grant programs, validation training is provided at no cost to industry.
